The first concert of the 2020 season scheduled for Sunday 29th March has been cancelled.

You will probably not be surprised to learn that we have decided that it would be in everyone’s best interests – audience and players – to cancel it. In fact, since we made that decision at the start of this week, ANAM – as the delegated manager of the venue on behalf of the City of Port Phillip – has suspended all performances in the South Melbourne Town Hall.

Obviously this is disappointing but we are intending to proceed with our three remaining concerts this year as scheduled – 21st June, 20th September and 6th December but of course with the COVID-19 situation and advice changing by the day the viability of these will need to be assessed closer to the times. We are also planning to re-jig those programmes somewhat so as to be able to incorporate some of the works which were intended for concert 1.

Thanks for your support in the past and we look forward to seeing you – safe and well – at the next concert.
